Kurmanchal Seva Sansthan, or more recently, Rural Organisation for Social Elevation (known simply as KSS/ROSE) was founded in 1981 by a small group from the Kanda community as a non profit making charitable organization. KSS/ROSE's initial aim was to try and improve the plight of the rural poor by means of education, good environmental practice and raising social awareness.

Since that date, the activities of ROSE have expanded into the fields of volunteer tourism, environmental and agricultural work, community and health care, sanitation and income generation schemes. Click on headings on your left for more detailed information
